About Pastor Toni DiPina
On May 26, 1963 Pastor Toni DiPina was found as an abandoned infant sitting on a blanket in a weed strewn vacant lot in North St. Louis, MO Her life and her story is a testimony to the power of faith and the love of Christ in her life.

Pastor Toni DiPina was unanimously called to Hadwen Park Congregational Church, UCC by our congregation on June 29, 2008 as our Associate Pastor of Youth and Families and Director of Christian Education. Pastor Toni is a graduate of Andover Newton Theological School and a member of its Jonathan Edwards Honor Society. Toni is also the recipient of the seminary’s Hebert Gezork Social Ethics Award and its 2008 Koinonia Preaching Award. Prior to vocational ministry, DiPina worked as an Underwriter for Amica Mutual Insurance Company and as an insurance representative for the MetLife Property and Casualty Insurance Company. She is an avid reader and holds a bachelors of arts degree in English from Worcester State College, where she was also awarded a lifetime membership into the Honorary Lambda Iota Tau Literary Society.

Previously to being called to HPC, Pastor Toni served as the Associate Protestant Chaplain at Phillips Andover Academy in Andover MA and has worked extensively with youth projects that help young adults appreciate the spiritual benefits of community service. She is the founder of Andover Newton Theological
School’s Shoebox Ministry for the Homeless and has extended this project to HPC where last October the youth of HPC collected and donated 211 boxes to aid homeless women, men, children, and families. Since its inception the ANTS shoebox ministry has served over 1300 homeless people.
In 2005 Pastor Toni served as one of many Chaplains with the American Red Cross Hurricane Katrina disaster team to assist with the Spiritual needs of its victims. Excerpts of her journal, Into the Eye of Katrina, were published in the spring issue of Today’s Ministry. Because of this experience and the injustices, pain, and agony she witnessed in its aftermath, Pastor Toni has dedicated her ministry and life to combating and crippling racism and all of the many isms that separate God’s people from each other. She has facilitated diversity trainings throughout the New England area in churches and communities since 2005.

Pastor Toni believes that children need not wait until they are older to be God’s agents of change and that their innocence, capacity for forgiveness, and unassuming ability to love is the closest model to Jesus’ love we are blessed to witness.
She is an ordained American Baptist minister, the proud mother of two children, and a junkie online Scrabble player.
